Shane Bellard, a proud native of Church Point, Louisiana, stands out as a dedicated leader in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) field. Now residing in Lafayette, Louisiana, Shane's career trajectory is a testament to his unwavering commitment and expertise. He began his journey with the Louisiana Rural Ambulance Alliance (LRAA) as a full-time Asset Manager, where his contributions were so impactful that he ultimately ascended to the role of Chief Executive Officer. Shane’s passion for EMS ignited in 1995 when he first became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). His relentless pursuit of knowledge and skills led him to achieve the rank of Paramedic in 2004, along with an Associate of Applied Sciences in Paramedicine and a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management and Fire Science. With 30 years of combined experience, including roles as a ground medic, remote safety medic, and disaster response medic, Shane has profoundly influenced countless lives through his service and leadership.

Shane’s exceptional dedication to his profession is highlighted by his active involvement in several national and international disaster response operations, including the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the devastating earthquakes in El Salvador (2001) and Haiti (2010). His participation in the 2011 tornado outbreaks in Joplin, Missouri, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama, further underscores his commitment to community safety and preparedness during times of crisis. In addition to his extensive field experience, Shane excels as an educator, holding multiple advanced-level certifications as an EMS instructor and collaborating with prestigious organizations such as the Louisiana Bureau of EMS, the American Heart Association, and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. His multifaceted background reflects a deep-rooted dedication to improving emergency care and training the next generation of EMS professionals.

Outside of his professional achievements, Shane is a devoted member of his local church, embodying the spirit of community service through his faith and outreach efforts. He shares a fulfilling personal life with his wife, Brandy, whom he has been married to for 28 years. As proud parents, they celebrate their children, Christyn Bellard Armstrong and her husband, Colby, alongside their son, Joshua. In his free time, Shane nurtures his passion for music as the lead vocalist and accordionist for a traditional Cajun band named La Recolte. Having traveled throughout the United States and Canada with his band, this role allows him to express his love for Cajun culture and the Cajun French language, enriching the vibrant tapestry of his heritage. Through a combination of professional dedication, community involvement, and artistic expression, Shane Bellard exemplifies resilience and commitment, leaving a lasting impact on both his profession and the community he cherishes.
