Surge Response
The Alliance is proud to be under contract with the State of Louisiana to provide Emergency Response Units and Staff for natural and man-made disasters. All Louisiana EMS providers are welcome to participate in this vital response effort. Additionally, surge ambulances enhance emergency coverage during a disaster by collaborating with the EMS, the Louisiana Emergency Response Network (LERN), the Louisiana Ambulance Alliance (LAA), and other key state stakeholders. For more details, please contact the Louisiana Rural Ambulance Alliance office.
Surge Responder Videos
Attention EMS practitioners participating in LRAA's surge response: It is mandatory to watch surge responder video and complete a written exam as proof of completion. Please ensure you access the video and finish the exam in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Hurricane Season. Your readiness is crucial for an effective response. Thank you your commitment.

One of our organization's key benefits is access to assets managed by our dedicated Asset Manager. Louisiana's healthcare and Emergency Response Providers can utilize these assets for up to 30 days, subject to availability and a lease agreement. Our assets are leased at minimal cost on a first-come, first-served basis, with distribution across the state to minimize travel time. To request the use of any assets, please complete the asset lease checklist and request form or contact our Asset Manager, Demerrius Slocum.
